Sarah Ramey

Sarah is a choreographer, performer and teacher invested in using dance to build and support communities. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Sarah now makes her home in Columbus, Ohio with her husband, musician Steve Ramey, and their two children. For six years, she danced with Liz Lerman Dance Exchange, performing and teaching dance to people of all ages and movement backgrounds all over the world. During her career, she had the privilege of dancing in works by Liz Lerman, Cassie Meador, Gesel Mason, Samantha Speis, Keith Thompson, Sara Pearson/Patrik Widrig and Robert Battle. Her own choreographic work has been presented on the small scale (her front yard) and the large scale (The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts). In 2015 with the support of an Albert Schweitzer Fellowship, Sarah founded Perennial Movement Group, a program of dance classes and performance opportunities for adults over 50. PMG’s performance group, The Perennials, has performed throughout Central Ohio and will present its first self-produced show in May 2024. In 2023, Sarah was a finalist for the Greater Columbus Arts Council’s (GCAC) Artist Elevated Award. She is a recipient of Individual Artist grants from the Maryland State Arts Council and GCAC. Sarah received her BA in Dance from the University of Maryland and her MFA in Dance from The Ohio State University.

Chloe Napoletano

Chloe Napoletano is a Columbus, Ohio based movement artist. She holds many roles within the dance field including choreographer, performer, community dance practitioner, and art administrator. 

 

Chloe joined Perennial Movement Group (PMG) as a co-director in 2017. She is engaged in a rigorous research and rehearsal process with PMG dancing artists, and their work has been performed in numerous venues including the OhioDance Festival and The Columbus Museum of Art in Columbus, OH. In 2017 she began directing Columbus Dance for Parkinson’s (CDP), a community dance program that provides weekly movement classes specifically designed for individuals with Parkinson’s. CDP became a program on Perennial Movement Group in 2022.

 

Chloe is the Advanced Teams Coordinator and a Lead Teacher for Momentum-Excellence, a dance outreach organization that empowers children through dance, music, and performance to develop lifelong habits of self-confidence, resilience, and teamwork, placing them on a path toward success. She teaches for Arts Possible Ohio (APO), providing accessible arts education in schools. Through APO, Chloe has led several year long dance residencies for students with physical and developmental disabilities. 

 

From 2017-2021, Chloe collaborated and performed with SeaBus Dance Collective, a group who researched improvisation as performance. Chloe performed with SeaBus in many venues and settings including the Columbus Arts Festival and the Columbus Museum of Art. Chloe also co-choreographs, co-produces, and performs in original dance pieces with her artistic partner Hana Newfeld in their performance project, Soft Moss Dance Club. Their work has been performed around Ohio including Cincinnati Area Choreographers Festival, The Wexner Center for the Arts, the OhioDance Festival, and Cleveland Dance Fest. Chloe received her BFA in dance from The Ohio State University.
