About the event

Glad You’re Here is a dance performance featuring 3 separate works created by local choreographers in collaboration with dancers ranging in age from 18-85. This project provides opportunities for younger and older dancers and choreographers to move and create together, and for audiences to view work that celebrates the creativity, wisdom and resourcefulness of the dancing body at various life stages. We are interested in how this performance will challenge audiences to broaden their definitions of “dance” and “dancer,” and what creativity looks like at different life stages. We believe that dance performance plays a role in envisioning the future of our community–what we see on stage grows our imagination for what could be. In this way, a program that highlights the contributions of multiple generations encourages audiences to consider how intergenerational connections could help our community thrive.

The evening features work by work by John Giffin, Crystal Michelle Perkins, Chloe Napoletano, and Sarah Ramey.
